We arrived to Estoi late at night, extremely tired, but were warmly greeted by Jose who accommodated our very late check in and catered to our every whim putting us in a quieter room (that night there was a rather loud festival taking place on the main square next to Casa) and making tea for us. The hotel is more... More

We had only one night to stay and only wish it could have been longer. The Casa de Estoi is in the sleepy village of Estoi and sits right next door to the church. Its a nice location as a base for exploring the Eastern ALgarve towns. We found it clean, very warm and friendly with nice accommodations. The house... More

While the location in rural Estoi means you find a quiet place, which it indeed is, you will definitely need a car. There are no restaurants in Estoi worth mentioning, so you'll have to drive 6-10 km to find decent places to eat. Thanks to it's location, the Hotel is very quiet. However, it doesn't really feel like a Hotel,... More

The Casa de Estoi is simple and peaceful. The hotel is a nice place to relax, very quiet. However, it's also fairly basic. We arrived at about 8 on a Sunday and the owner had the cleaning lady open up for us. We spoke to him on the phone and he was able to arrange a taxi to take us... More

What a lovely place to stay! The house is a stunning country period property and the rooms furnished with beautiful dark wood and white linens. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was very personal but informal - it felt like staying at a friend's house really! The surrounding areas include a palace which is being refurbished, a... More

A charming old house with just a very few well furnished rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Ask the manager to advise on trips into local Portugal. Estoi is a 1 horse town (just!) but its real Portugal unlike its coastal neighbours. We ate very well at Vterra at the bottom end of the village which was excellent and run... More

We have just returned from 2 days at the Casa de Estoi. Having read earlier reviews, we were looking forward to our stay. It did not disappoint. After a 15 minute, €13 taxi ride from the airport we were warmly greeted by Joao who gave us a tour of this most impressive property and then showed us to our comfortable,... More

We stayed here for 10 days during late August. An old fashioned private house that has been turned into a sall hotel with 6 or 7 rooms, this is a relaxing place to stay away from the bussle of the Algarve. The owners are present to help you with any question you might have, or to offer advice but generally... More

This historic home turned bed and breakfast hotel is on the main square of the town of Estoi, a ten minute drive north from the Faro Airport. The town has a number of summer festivals including one in late June which shows a music/dance celebration honoring one of the country’s saints. The hotel manager is absolutely charming and recommends excellent... More

Great Place to Spent off the Beaten Paths We spent 5 nights at this marvellous place in Estoi, about 15 km (10 mi.) outside Faro. It is a great, stylish place with plenty of historical ambiance. The manager is very supportive, very friendly, and provides great service. We also appreicated the (cost free) WiFi access at Casa d'Estoi. It is... More
