The booking agency (GoLisbon, not recommended) messed up the reservation, so we were told we had arrived on the wrong day. Despite the hotel being practically empty both the incorrectly booked night and the night we arrived, the management expected us to pay twice. Having been visiting Portugal regularly for more than 50 years, I have never encountered such mean... More

I've been sleeping in this hotel several times and so far, I never got any reason to complain. Staff is very nice, location is excellent, rooms are spacious enough and very comfortable. I'm Portuguese but when I stay here, I feel that I'm staying in a true traditional house from Alentejo: the regional "Arraiolos" rugs on the floor, clay bricks... More

Evora is well worth a visit, and this place was great. The hotel is almost dead center to the interesting part of town, yet quiet and old fashioned. The staff were so incredibly nice even when I had to cancel one night last minute, I'd recommend staying there just because of that, but the room was clean, had a very... More

Located close to the cathedral and easy to find. Nice, large rooms that are tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are clean and well supplied. There are no elevators in the hotel and we had to lug our stuff 2 floors up on the stairs. The breakfast lacked variety. There is no parking with the hotel, but there are convenient public parks... My Husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night in Evora on May 29, it was a Saturday. We drove into town in our rental car from the Algarve and had detailed directions, but as we found in every city, the streets are poorly marked BUT there are signs directing you to the RESIDENCIAL RIVIERA all over, so... Good location and generally, a good hotel. Drawbacks include inability to park close to hotel which may be an issue if you have a lot of luggage. The hotel has wi-fi but the signal strength is very weak. I think my main issue was the cost which was a little high for what you get. More

I was very impressed with the Riveria and the ancient town of Evora. The hotel is in a typically old Portuguese building and our room was large and airy, as were the public rooms. We had the cheapest fridge/mini-bar I have ever seen (water €1), en-suite, aircon and a decent breakfast for a very reasonable £27 pppn, in peak season.... More

Residencial Riviera is in the perfect spot to explore Evora in any direction. The rooms are spacious and up to date, though, with touches of the old to bring them character. The staff was very helpful, bailing us out of a situation where we were driving up a pedestrian only street. I believe there are only 4 parking spots at... More

Evora is a beautiful, historic town - definitely worth visiting. This place is very central and in a good location. Parking can be difficult as there are many one way, narrow streets and private residents spaces so make sure you reserve a space with the hotel in advance (at a cost!). The rooms here are simple but clean. The main... More
