This is a lovely old building , staff are pleasant and helpful . Public areas impressive as is the dining room around an internal glazed cloister . Food was good and reasonable value with good service . Signage poor and if arriving by car lack of a GPS would create problems . Covenient for visiting main sites in Evora .... More

The Pousada dos Lóios is a fusion of quasi-monastic restraint with some creature comforts. We slept in a converted monk’s cell with an en-suite bathroom attached, in which we showered by standing up in a wobbly old tub while trying not to stick to the surrounding shower curtain! Our room overlooked the central courtyard and swimming pool. This pousada rated... More

We loved this Pousada (and Evora itself). The hotel is a beautifully kept old monastery/convent with a lovely private sun terrace and pool. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and we had a great package of three nights with a complimentary bottle of wine, petits fours, fruit and a free dinner. Perfect! Our room was lovely and comfortable and... More

The Pousda at Evora was the first one we stayed at with our 475 euro 5 night Pousada passport. Definately the best way to see Pousadas and Portugal at a discounted price, making the average stay 95 Euros a night if you stay Sunday to Thursday night. That's almost half price in some Pousadas Pousada Dos Loios de Evora is... More

Dear Guest, We are delighted to know you have had a wonderful experience and that the service provided has amazed you. Thank you for sharing such a detailed review about the Pousada and the Passport, helpful to prospective guests. The church indexed to the Pousada started the construction works two years before the Convent, in 1485. We apologize for the... More

A beautiful building right in the centre of a World heritage site, convenient for cathedral and Roman remains - but sadly with very little convenient car parking because of this. Lovely public rooms and unusual dining room around a cloistered courtyard. Friendly, helpful staff, but probably not enough of them ! Fine furnishings and paintings around the building. More

Dear Guest, Thank you for having chosen Pousadas de Portugal while visiting Évora. Pousada dos Lóios has indeed a privileged location in the city, as well as being the restoration of a 15th century convent. We inform there is a small car parking at the back of the Pousada and a few spaces in the front. Your nice and descriptive... More

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 7 yr old and 3 yr old) stayed in a suite at the Pousada dos Loios de Evora. I read many of the reviews here and was skeptical, but my husband convinced me that we should stay and experience the history of the pousada and town. I generally tend toward more modern, contemporary hotels... More

This was the first pousada we stayed in on our romantic trip to Portugal. We LOVED it. We had room 112 - a beautiful 2 room suite with chandeliers and awesome paintings. The bathroom was also nice. Our view onto the courtyard was great ! The pousada is at the heart of the city's main attractions and everything is walking... More

We found this Pousada to be an absolute gem! Apart from the lack of restaurant advice, the staff here were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and larger than we expected. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good, the service was impeccable. our only criticism would be some of the crockery was chipped and should... More

I thought that when in Evora we might as well stay in an historic building in the oldest part of the old town. However, I must admit that having seen the mixed reviews for this place, I wasn't expecting it to be anything like as good as it was. You can see from the photos that you are getting an... More
