As soon as I got here, I felt very happy about my choice of accommodation. I was met by the lovely owner who showed me the room and immediately made you feel at ease. The owners were very frendly and the lovely homemade bread very yummy as were the other provisions in the fridge. Great choice of DVDs (if you... More

We stayed in one of the gorgeous cottages for 2 nights back in 2011. Great location - just far enough off the main road for tranquility yet easily close enough for a short drive (or a longer walk!) to various wineries within the Clare Valley region. Fantastic service, very welcoming and homely and amazing fresh produce for breakfast! Loved the... More

The appartments/cottages were spacious, light and cosy. The combustion fire was really effective with more wood delivered every afternoon. The breakfast provisions were generous. We especially enjoyed the home made bread and local bacon. The kitchenette was good, with everything apart from a cooktop. The bed was very comfortable. It was lovely to be tucked away from the main road,... More

We stayed in these beautiful cottages for 3 nights. Its amazing how time flies when you enjoy such an experience. The owners were fantastic and went to every level to assist with our stay. Fresh homemade bread, bacon and eggs were a real highlight. The apartment was incredibly clean, kitchen facilities were great, and the wood fire topped off our... More

Sweet little cabins tucked away on a small homestead on the edge of the Clare Valley. Rooms are comfortable and spacious (as is the bed). Breakfast provisions are very good – eggs, bacon and freshly made bread. Room amenities are however average (kitchen was rubbish) and fridge/aircon noisy. For the money a bit more effort could have been made. Nice... More

Glad you enjoyed your stay at Battunga and the Clare Valley. Thank you for your feedback. in regards to the kitchen, we only advertise as a "kitchenette" which in Australia means basic kitchen supplies ie. microwave, electric toaster, kettle, large and small frypan as well as a gas BBQ outside in the undercover dining area. I understand that your husband... More

We recently spent the weekend in the gorgeous clare valley, staying at battunga bnb. The cottages were immaculatey clean, the service wonderful and the farm was a beautiful surrounding for our getaway. The family running the property were only too happy to help, and they helped us plan our day to ensure we got to see the best sites. Wine... More

Battunga was a really beautiful place to stay. The scenery was gorgeous and the cottages were everything we wanted for a lovely weekend away, better then the website protrayed them. The breakfast provisions were very generous and overall we were very impressed by the standard of accomodation for the price we paid. Extra bonus we saw kangaroos up in the... More

The cabin we stayed in was very spacious and generally well equipped. The log burning fire was excellent on a fairly cold night and heated the whole cabin up well. My only two criticisms are that the hot water system is shared with the people in the adjoining rooms and can lead to cold showers if both groups choose to... More

This is a really nice B&B/boutique hotel, smallish secluded cottages set in the middle of gorgeous countryside. We loved out stay here, and our travel around the surrounding countryside. Very clean and neat, nice ensuite. Loved the brekky. We havent stayed in many B&Bs but this was probably the best B&B-style place we've stayed in. Will be staying here again... More

The cottage was great: more spacious than it looked on the website, and pretty well equipped. We were very comfortable, and loved the birdlife and kangaroos around us. Given some of the prices charged in the Clare Valley, this was very good value for the quality provided. Excellent home-made bread, and copious quantities of bacon and eggs, made for good... More
