I agree with all the previous 'excellent reviews'. In Charlotte's absence her husband and daughter gave an excellent welcome and service. The Family room I booked was upgraded to 2 twins without extra cost due to burst pipes in the main house. Dirk and Kunegonde welcomed us with coffee and apple pie and were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and willing... More

Second visit. On my own this time but Charlotte put me in a triple room at no extra cost. Everything that needs to be said has been said so no point in repeating good news. However Charlotte told me she was leaving 2nd February and taking on a new challenge elsewhere. The business has been sold but will be continuing.... More

Indeed, a visitors dream to be the gast of the Varlet Farm and to be treated as kings by the owner Charlotte Descamps. Just a perfect stay with a tastful breakfast in the morning. Nice clean central rooms and confortable beds. It felt like being home. We where visiting with a film crew (4 people) to make a short documentary... More

We took a family annexe with 2 rooms, a bathroom and a small sitting room with a table and books. It felt like staying in a friend's home, and the books everywhere which we were at liberty to take and browse, cemented this impression. Charlotte greeted us with coffee and delicious home-made apple pie, and throughout our stay was approachable,... More

We made a return visit to Varlet Farm recently and found it to be just as good as our earlier visit. The rooms at Varlet Farm are of a high standard and spotlessly clean, all the fittinggs are of a good quality so time hasn't really changed the rooms since our last visit back in June 2010. The breakfasts are... More

Charlotte is always consistant with her standards, knowledge and apple cake!! We are devastated to learn that she will be leaving Varlet Farm as we feel that she IS Varlet Farm. Take care Charlotte and we wish you well in your future plans. More

We stayed at Varlet Farm on 17-20 October and were looked after so well by Charlotte. She gave us a lot of very valuable and interesting information which helped us make the most of our time in the area. The hospitality we were shown was superb and the breakfast table was excellent. More

We had been recommended this B and B establishment and were very impressed with the friendly reception and good offering provided by the owners. The farm is very well located and , with good facilities and an excellent breakfast, would recommend . More

We stayed at Varlet farm on the 4th and 5th N0v 2011. The hospitality was second to none with all the information you can have to make your stay there very fulfilling. We was greeted by Dirk and his Daughter who made us feel so welcome. The apple pie and coffee that was given to us on our arrival was... More

I have stayed at Varlet Farm over four times now and the good welcome & great hospitality never changes. The accommodation is graciously covered by other 'advisors' but the contribution to its success by other members of the Cardoen-Descamps family is seldom acknowledged. Charlotte is usually 'front of house' and her accolades are well deserved. However, she was away on... More
