We were lucky enough to have found a "Junior Suite" type room available for the Easter weekend trough a travel agency (Thomas Cook). my friend and i booked a shearing holiday break at the new year in 2011 and stayed at the hotel ostend.
i couldn't fault it the staff were friendly, meals were good, the room could do with a bit more storage and brewing facilities would be nice, they were very clean and very well maintained.

Well, we got our room for 2 days from Groupon! We thought that it will be cool! So this hotel looks inside like a old boat! We didn't like bed and we couldn't sleep for a long time!

It's quite astonishing that this hotel ended up at the very top of all hotels in Ostend. While at first hand, it seems quite cheap for a 3 star hotel, the price is justified as the hotel is as cheap as its room rates.

Due to a mix up by our travel agent (not the Ostend Hotel), on our first night at the Ostend Hotel we were placed in a very small second floor bedroom - in fact it was the tiniest room we had ever experienced on our travels! I would not have liked this room for the duration of our stay.
