A traditional Belgian seaside hotel - great to find such a place that has not been swallowed up by corporate anonimity! Very central for city centre, harbour, 'little' beach and shops etc. Although parking can be a bit of a nightmare/expensive - as with all of central Ostend!

Good sensibly priced accomodation, fronting the harbour, very clean but small rooms, nice spotless shower room, Breakfast room a plesant suprise with large windows over looking the harbour. continental brakefast hot eggs if requested, nice bar at street level and close to everything in ostend rail station shops etc
To book this hotel you need to phone, fax or do it in person, it does not have a website or email address and is not on any booking site, but it is worth the effort. If you can afford the extra, book a “seaside view” room, we found we had a table in the breakfast room with the same...

We have only spent one night at the Hotel Rubens in Oostende but we were very content with what we experienced there.The hotel is close to the harbour. Our room (without harbour view) was 65, rooms with a view to the harbour are more expensive. Our room was quite small but nicely furnished and clean.The breakfast room is absolutely beautiful....
