The hotel is on an impressive site high above the town and has seen much much better days 100 years ago. Feel between 2-3 star at best now but OKish for a night's stay. The owners should spend the money needed to completely overhaul this place as it could once again be a real gem- the staff know this as... More

Lovely location on top of Namur- and a very comfortable hotel. someone has spent a lot of money doing up the rooms- see bathroom pic! but they forgot the place you spend the most time- the bed. Ours was an old 130 cm "double"bed- i.e. not full width, so only appropriate if you are really very friendly... also saggy springs... More

Overall its a great place to spend a nice weekend Pros: - The quite location not far from city center - The amazing panoramic view - Big spacy rooms - Friendly staff Cons: Parts of the rooms like the old TV and the cheap energy lamps that take several minutes to warm up before you can see anything, are destroying... The room was large, and the bathroom impressive. We had booked on line, and got a good discount, and for what we paid for our room, it was good value. The staff was attentive and professional, but didn't go above and beyond expectations. The room (with exception of the bathroom) was a little outdated, but that can be said to... More

The hotel is located somewhat out of the city in the Citadelle area on the top of the hill. The view from the hotel is simply fascinating and the hotel is surrounded by a park, which gradually transgresses into a forest. Unfortunately, this is the only advantage of its location. It takes about 20 minutes walking to reach the city... More

The property is very nice from the outside and is located in a very imposing location. They advertise themselves as being in partnership with a hotel school but in fact the hotel is the school and as such you get to be looked after by (mostly) unmotivated teenagers. We stayed in their best room (what they describe as a suite).... More

We spent 1 night at the château de Namur. Reservation, check-in,... all went very well. The surroundings are spectacular. BUT then we arrived at our room.... Filthy, outdated, old, ragged, stainy and sticky bathroomfloor. We felt itchy for 3 days (flees?) :-( Luckily the restaurant was really good. Tastful food, friendly staff,... Would visit the restaurant again but wouldn't stay... More

Just a warning to be careful if you book a double room. It turned that our room could sleep 5 people! And yes we paid for it! We were there with a group and through we were booking a room for 2 people, we ended up paying 100 Euro per night more than anyone else. But I would not blame... More

We spent a night here on the first day of a tour around Europe and really enjoyed it. We had a Suite with fantastic views over the town and river. The slight reservation was the room was quite dark with poor lighting but very quiet and comfortable. We dined in their restaurant and thought the food was outstanding. Beautifully cooked,... More
