For the first time in my life I doubted whether I should write a bad review, to keep this place a secret for myself. But no, that's not how this site works: I would love to find a place that someone else enjoyed, so here the real review. L'Art de la Fugue is close to Bruxelles MIDI/South-station. As it's privately... More

I travelled with a group of friends to Belgium for a 4 night stay and we stayed at this great place. Of the 5 rooms available, we took up 4 rooms as there were 7 of us and had a proper look at all of the rooms and one word: AMAZING. The interior decoration, the art pieces, antiques strewn around... I went for a business trip to Brussels and accidently found this amazing bed and breakfast, like a hotel, to stay. I was happy to get a beautiful room with a princess bed! The room was very big full of beautiful paintings and souvenirs. The breakfast (normal European) was set on a table in the morning. The service was very... More

Our room was most impressive, decorated in Indian style, (drapes, mirrorwork, carved furniture...) and had a balcony with table and chairs. There was a kitchenette area - unfortunately not equipped with kettle or pans etc - but we could use the kitchen downstairs. We could also use the vast lounge and that was a pleasure. Breakfast was taken at a... More

This delightful B&B is value for money and very conveniently located for travel in and out of Brussels. It is very nicely set out with African artefacts, modern design and quirky stairs - and a lowkey, but delicious breakfast. The while place is a very positive surprise and much more than you'd expect from a backstreet BB. The neighbourhood is... More

We booked at L'Art de la Fugue after reading the TripAdvisor reviews....And we were a bit concerned...would the hosts be there? Was the area safe? ..it was a gamble...and it paid off. Firstly we were quite concerned before we arrived about the local area as so many reviewers had remarked ablout it, but we felt very safe. There is a... More

We absolutely loved this B&B - Frederick and Michele are absolutely the best hosts - personable, concerned about our experiences, and very helpful. The location is just about 3 city blocks from the Midi station (which worked wonderfully for us since we planned on daytrips from Brussels); I never once felt unsafe in the area. The B&B, itself, is unbelievable... More

B&B in a great area, as it is close to Eurostar train station. First thoughts about the area were a concern but over the three days I found the area safe. I was greeted by the owner which was great as my train was delayed. However I didn't see the owners again during my stay (they did explain this to... More

We stayed at L'Art de la Fugue on New Years Eve 07. The room was nice, but it was not the one we had booked - we booked the Farnelli, but were given one with an Indian theme. Our main complaint there was no breakfast available when we got up and no one around to help (except other guests). We... More
