I was apprehensive as I approached the small front door, knowing that reviews have been rather variable. I need not have worried. Once I had stepped inside I took a liking to the smart but not indulgent interior. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and was very helpful indeed. A perfect start. I'd arrived early in the morning but... More

The hotel is located on a narrow street just after a corner to the Grote Markt (main plaza in Mechelen/Maline). The photos with the cathedral are about the view you have from 3rd floor where you may have breakfast. The rooms are clean and cosy. The hotel does not have restaurant for dinner or lunch, but they can recommend a... More

This hotel is at a great location but it is having an amateurish ambiance. The rooms are too small and likely to be constructed by a builder lacking experience as components are falling apart, toilets are too low, shower doors cannot completely open, shower head is coming from wall , mirrors can easily break by the doorknob touching it. Stayed here for one night, price / quality ratio is fantastic, room is clean and modern, and warm (it was snowing outside), check in was fast, efficient and pleasant, with staff giving advice on where to shop, eat and drink in the town centre. Highly recommended. More

Booked Hotel as we were visiting some relatives who lived out of Mechelen. The reception staff were most helpfull when we booked in and explained the situation concerning getting into hotel after hours. We found our room (212) to be bright and cheerfull with more than enough room. The bath area although on the small size was adequate for us.... More

This is a terrible hotel with non existent customer service our room was tiny as was the bathroom, if you arrive late you will find there is no receptionist and the hotel will be locked and in darkness, breakfast isn't worth having, find somewhere else to stay. More

When I was leaving the restaurant, I noticed that my headphones were missing. I am 100% sure that I put them on the bedside table the first day I arrived. So at some time during the three days I spent there they stole or lost my $100 headphones. I contacted them about this and their answer was that they could... More

I'm here for a business trip, so I can't really say much about the pricing. The service is great, I had some problems with the mosquitoes and the receptionist offered me in a very short time from my complaint an anti-mosquito device. All the receptionists were very helpful in offering directions to the best restaurants and pubs around the area.... More

3 Paardekens Hotel is near the historic center of Mechelen and located near a lot of restaurants, so if you want to see the cathedral and have dinner without having to travel back and forth a lot, this hotel is a good choice. The staff is nice, and you can get into your room without much hassle. The rooms aren't... More

This hotel is excellent value for money. it is not the the top class hotel (3 stars) but has everything else going for it. First, excellent location, in walking distance to all the city's hot spots. The view on the St Rombouts cathedral from the rooftop breakfast room is really impressive, certainly on a sunny day like during our stay.... More
