The ambience, the great breakfast with champagne as the norm during weekends and of course the decor, make it a relaxing and enjoyable hotel for a stay in Mechelen. It is perfectly situated for taking in the cultural and food experiences which are virtually all within walking distance. The drawbacks for some maybe the fact that there is no on... More

I travel to Mechelen frequently on business, and this is my favorite hotel. The beds are large and incredibly comfortable, and it's delightful to be in a converted church. The rooms that I've been in (524 and 525) are small; if two people are sharing, I'd spring for a larger and more expensive choice. Fabulous breakfast for 20 euros --... More

Stayed last week at the Patershof with a friend for a weekend break. We had requested a twin room - this was not even taken into account as the greeting on our TV screen said "Welcome Mr & Mrs.........." The fact they had two different female names obviously didn't register. On asking that if the beds could be split we... More

Despite its impressive facade, the Patershof is a really mediocre hotel. For > 200 EU per night, the actual room should be a little nicer than a well-kempt Motel 6, in my opinion. There're barely any windows or light, the decor is made up of cheesy plaster arches, to fit with the former church theme, and weird plastic headboards. The... More

The beds at this hotel are truly something special. Cleaning staff was a little sloppy, leaving a thermos outside our door for a day, and neglecting to restock the coffee, but when we mentioned this to reception it was taken care of immediately and the bathroom was spotless. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on... More

My wife and I enjoyed this Hotel very much, good location within walking distance of shops, restaurants, especially Den Beer Restaurant in the Main Square. We found the room to be excellent, clean and no problem with towels, staff were okay, great Bar and Breakfast eating room, its a pity that no evening meals are served, overall a very nice... More

I had three business trips to Mechelen and stayed at the NH Mechelen first time but after a suggestion from the customer I tried to see if Martin's Patershof was available for my next business trip. After staying there I booked it for this business trip again and my experience with this hotel is that they are probably a notch... More

We (my wife and I) stayed for a weekend in this hotel. However, we had a very dark room. Nice to sleep with the angels (see photo) but in the morning we like to see the sky (only a very small window 30 cm wide). Next morning we found out there were very dirty towels (folded) and at five in... More

Generally a good experience. Smooth checkin, Well sized and unique room, with comfortable bed. Good breakfast menu - where you actually eat your breakfast in the old church room. Overall a good and recomendable business hotel centrally located in Mechelen. More
