Central? Yes but you walk through Leiden in 15 min. My room was ok, the bathroom not. Terrible bathroom. Breakfast far from valuable for the 7.5€, buy your own if you're going for cheap. IBIS at the central have a opening offer atm (first Q of 2012), which is better. More

We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station. However, the room was not the best. The hardwood floor in the corner of the room behind a chair had not been cleaned for a long time, as it was covered in dust bunnies. There was noise coming from a hole in the bathroom wall at night. The... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times on business, mainly because it is one of the cheaper hotels in Leiden. However, last night was the last time I will stay there. First of all, I was made to pay in full for the room when I checked in. This has never happened before, and when I asked why, I... More

This hotel is very badly located - trying to sleep at night with all the noise on the square outside is impossible. Arriving late, you get to deal with a taxi company next door who take a manual copy of your credit card - an outdated and untrustworthy way of doing business. The room itself had massive water stains on... More

Hotel Mayflower is located right in the center of Leiden. The rooms are spacious, functional and clean. There was no street noise during the night. The hallways and the courtyard in the back are in need of some renovation. Breakfast was ok, but not spectacular (bread, cheese, ham, cereals, eggs, coffee/tea, apple/orange). Service is ok. There is free internet in... More

We chosed the Mayflower hotel before of its central position, and in fact it is really nice to be able to get to the hotel from the station in 10 minutes, or going out and be directly in the town centre. The people at the lobby are quite nice, and the breakfast is ok. The rooms are clean but really... More

Very good location, on a wide square along the canals, with lots of restaurants and cafés (but not noisy for the 2 days I stayed there), and a wonderful view. Very close to shopping streets and many attractions (including a wonderful windmill in a park), 5 minutes walk from the train station. And as all the rooms were booked, they... More

The only good thing about this hotel is its central location. Everything else is simply bad and overpriced. It is the worst hotel I've ever been to in last 10 years of extensive traveling all over Europe. The first thing was that the receptionis (dark haired woman) told us that there's only 1 available room. To get to that room,... More

The Mayflower is not a shiny bright hotel but the reception was welcoming, everything very clean. Lots of hot water and good heating system. If you want lots of cheesy smiles, a glossy appearance, and people claiming they want you to have a good day, don't go to The Mayflower. If you want to be treated with a respectful distance,... More

The only good thing about this hotel is its location - everything else was way below average - especially considering the price. Although the room was a decent size it was full of old beat-up furniture, had stained walls and ceiling, cruddy little mirrors. I wouldn't have minded had it cost less but for 100 euros a night it was... More
