We wanted a clean, respectable B and B out of Amsterdam(which we found too noisy and crowded, not to say dangerous with all the traffic), handy for the Newcastle ferry and not too expensive. We stayed here for the weekend of my husbands birthday.Once you have got up the steep staircase, the staff (and cat )are friendly rooms large and clean (although nothing special) breakfast was good and the location of the hotel (a short walk to the meuseums and a walk -if a long one-into town)was great.A few thing I would say-I would... We were in Amsterdam for three nights and decided to stay in a location that was away from the center of the city (Dam Square/Bejinhof). This location was PERFECT for what we wanted.
