We stayed for four nights, hired bikes down the street and took off...the B & B is warm and comfortable...we had the room on the top floor...lovely breakfasts and kindness from Lesley. The stairs are steep to the bedroom, but that is the tradition in Amsterdam! Lovely fabrics and artifacts sourced from the owner's travels More

We received a warm welcome of Lesley who provided us a lot of good tips about the city of Amsterdam. We enjoyed the well decorated and comfortable room and last but not least, the excellent breakfast (with fresh orange juice, delicious honey and strawberry jam). The location of the house, in a very quiet street, is also very convenient. This... More

Wonderful place in almost the center of Amsterdam yet in a quiet and peaceful district. Walk a way distance to many attractions (that would suit all ages :-)) - both cultural & nature (Artis Zoo is at walking distance too). Many wonderful places around to eat and drink a glass of beer :-). And the MOST important - wonderful atmosphere... More

Very decent B&B, good price/quality ratio. Try to book the basement room, it's spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. It also has a separate entrance, so we felt like home. It's a bit cold for a Russian inside, but there is always a heater at hand. Lovely and rather hearty breakfast served in the owner's living room, so you get the... More

Host Leslie provided excellent tips on how to get around Amsterdam during our 3 night stay. The Stop and Go bus on nearby Prinsengracht assisted us greatly in our travels to venues in Amsterdam. Superb breakfast each morning - even fresh bread from the market one morning. We had the upper room which was very spacious and comfortable and enjoyed... More

Stayed at this charming B&B for 3 nights. The host, Leslie, (friendly & informative throughout our stay) informed us of a change of room upon our arrival however this wasn't a problem as the suite we were shown to was comfortable, well decorated and had tea/coffee making facilities. There are a good number of bars & restaurants within 5 minutes... More

This was our third trip to Aemstelhuys Bed & Breakfast. As always we received a super welcome from Lesley who is an amazing hostess and is incredibly welcoming. Lesley is happy to provide lots of information about the wonderful city of Amsterdam and the pleasure is that you get an insight into the dutch way of life, which you would... More

Almost everything about this stay was perfect. The house was beautiful, well located in a quiet downtown neighbourhood, clean, well appointed. The breakfast was a very good European style breakfast, served with very flexible hours. Leslie was a wonderful host. We had the room downstairs, with a separate entrance. It was a great room, large and well appointed. The only... More

Lesley was a very gracious hostess and made us feel at home in her B&B. My husband and I had many a lively conversation with her and the other guests while enjoying our scrumptious breakfasts. There was plenty of food! We stayed four nights and the location could not have been better. Because of the B&B's excellent location, we were... More
