This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The stairs were a bit rough, especially when you return to the hotel tired, but the staff was amazing and helpful. It had no restaurant but we new that from the start. Very clean and cosy enough. We had our own bathroom but not all of the rooms had one. Anyway, it was a... More

We landed in Amsterdam without any hotel bookings. The tourist office offered us this hotel and we were very glad to have stayed here. It is centrally located with the Dam square just 5-8mins by walk. Anne Frank's house is just 2 mins away. Just have to be aware that this is 1star hotel so no lift. We carried our... More

Hotel Pax is a quite decent place to stay for a few days in Amsterdam. The Hotel and the room also where very small, but it was clean and we really enjoyed our stay there. Everyday we had fresh towels which quite suprised me. Also the owner was very friendly and answered all the questions we had about where to... More

Hotel was hidden but not a far distant from the train station. The hotel staff were nice and charming. Rooms were big enough for beds but that wasn't a problem since our main purpose in Amsterdam was to explore. The community bathroom and shower proved to be no problem. For the price, this little hotel is a good find. More

Inexpensive 1* hotel between Dam Square and Westerkerk Check in was quick and simple. The owner even helped me carry my duffel bag up to my room. I stayed in room 15 on the 2nd floor (3rd in the US) overlooking a courtyard. Basic single room with small refrigerator, tv and kettle. The shared toilet and shower, steps away from... More

It was a decent spot to stay. Nothing to rave about, but somewhere I'd be willing to stay again. I'd just have to check if their wireless is working or not. If you have any walking disabilities, please note that there are a lot of stairs with narrow steps in this hotel and no elevator. Should you arrive late in... More

After a night at the camping site we decided to move to a hotel. The tourist information at the main train station booked us this hotel. It didn't look like a hotel at the outside, but it was great on the inside. Our room was on the last floor, so we had to go up the stairs everyday (no elevator!).... More

We arrived at Schipol and spoke to tourist information. We wanted somewhere CHEAP, expecting to arrive somewhere pretty grim. Pax was great! the guy greeted us with a big smile, showed us where abouts we were on a street map and where we should visit. The room was clean, towels provided. As a place to lay your head each night... More

From the outside, it doesn't look so great, but once you get into your room you realize you lucked out for 30/E a night. You're own shower room /bathroom, a comfortable bed, insanely cool decor and two doors that let out onto a stone balcony, complete with gargoyle. That place was great!!!! More
