- Max In Mokum Hotel Amsterdam

Pluses: Hotel Max is more like a hostel without dorms, but I wouldn't say it's a disadvantage. It was the cheapest at the time of booking but still very expensive. The hotel is quite far from the city centre but Amsterdam attractions are scattered and Max is close to Heineken Experience and Magere Brug, and about 15-minute walk from Rijkmuseum...

We were satisfied, although the hotel is too expensive for the services provided (compared to other European cities). Our room was too small. We communicated with two staff members, one of them was OK (at the reception desk), the other one was quite unpleasant (serving breakfest). But since we spent all the time in the city and only came to...

The receptionist was ignorant at times, on leaving the hotel tried to keep deposit as the person who checked us in forgot to give us a written slip to say we'd given one. . managed to get it back at a push. The rooms are super small and 1 of the beds was broken, nice area but hotel is not...

The receptionist is unfriendly and incapable. I don't strat listing the shortcomings. And overall it is a rip-off for what is offered: the rooms are tiny (though sufficiently clean), the towels cannot be hung anywhere, no place to put anything. I had to ask several times for an extra blanket, for the correct key-card, even for the correct room -...

Stayed six nights in a twin room with friend, okay the room is fairly small but is perfect as a base. About 15-20 minutes walk into central Amsterdam, so ideal location. Also several of the museums and galleries are fairly close, there are many decent eating places in close proximity. Bathroom was small as well, good shower though and clean....

Really bright and breezy double room, if a little on the cosy side, with super comfy beds. Didn't manage to make it down for breakfast (I blame the comfy beds), but luckily with Lydl selling freshly baked croissants literally across the road (at bargain prices), we didn't miss out. You're also less than 30 seconds from the nearest slightly dodgy,...

Amsterdam is a lovely city, but It was terrible because of the hotel...
The recepcionist isn't nice at all, everything it's a problem, he is not going to make it easy.
Breakfast, just a piece of bread and cheese and a glass of juice or something like that
Room service... mmm... I don't know because they "forgot" our room (fortunately...

We stayed in a twin room with my friend, and we were absolutely satisfied. The location is great - everything is in 20 mins walking distance. Our room was tiny, but you dont wanna stay in your room if you'r in Amsterdam anyway! Bathrom was tiny as well, but clean - we got fresh towels everyday. Staff were very friendly...
