On arrival first impressions were good until we were given the room key, we had to make our way up some very narrow stairs, carrying suitcases was to say the least perilous, the room was tiny and in a very sad state of repair. the wallpaper had senn better days, the bedside lights were out of reach and the lampshade... more

This hotel is ok if you dont expect much. The room came with a tv that kept cutting out, a live wire coming out of the wall and no hairdryer, mini bar or safe. But to be honest, it is worth the money. Cheap nice-ish looking hotel, great location, fairly nice staff, and fairly clean. The main thing i would... more

The hotel is situated in an nice quarter of the city. But the room was dirty and small, the bathrom the same, the staff didn't pay attention to their guests. Really sad because the location is great! So Mr./Miss Hotel Manager, do your job and re-furnish your hotel, educate the staff - and become a successful manager :) more

Stayed 2 nights, initially on 5th floor at the top of a series of difficult and steep stairs-room 21 from which clothing was stolen by someone who had access via a key. When confronted some remorse expressed but the best we got was an"upgrade" to a room on a lower floor which at least had a view of the canal.Definitely does not... more

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms look like you are likely to get some sort of infection from them. Our room was extremely hot and when we asked for a fan they gave us one with no cover (great health and safety there). They took too much money from our accounts and... more

The people who work there has no interest at all to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel is near by a church witch rings every 15minutes beetween 06 am- 11pm but the stuff claims that they have NEVER heard the bells. They won´t give you the phone number to the hotel manager, cause they say that they... more

This is the worst hotel in Amsterdam. It's run by greedy russians who do nothing but trick and scam you to get money. Avoid this hotel at every cost. Looks pretty good - but tastes aweful and could potentially ruin your vacation, as it did ours. more

We stayed at this hotel in June for 3 nights, when we arrived it looked very pretty from the outside, right along by one of the many canals. Once we checked in we were told we were on the fourth floor, which was up about 160 very very narrow and steep stairs, NO lifts. As for the room, it was... more

The hotel is a good base for seeing Amsterdam, Rembrandtplein & Dam square & red light district all very close by. The hotel is very tired and somewhat sleazy with some rooms coming (pardon the pun) with mirrored ceilings and every available wall is mirrored. Hotel details do state hair dryers in the rooms but we were told that that... more

I took my mum on a week-long trip to Amsterdam last week and chose this place to stay because it was affordable without being clearly aimed at the smoking tourist croud. The room was very dark with an incredible choice and combination of curtains / bedspread / wallpaper (certainly raises a smile if you have a sense of humour!) and... more
