If you want to stay at a hotel in the middle of everything, I would recommend Hans Brinker. U can walk to the museums, Vondelpark, centrum, shopping and pubs in like five minutes. A hotel for backpackers as well as grown ups. (If you can tolerate a bit loud people partying around you in the evening;) I'll go back! More
