This is a great, small and basic hotel in a good location. The room was very clean and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. There is free tea, coffee, soft drinks and fruit at any time. If you have mobility problems - you may find the stairs a problem. If you like big rooms -... More

We found this hotel very enjoyable. When we arrived we were offered a free drink and Sylvia sat down and told us what attractions were close by and answered our questions. There was free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit available all the time. Computer use was also free.. The breakfast, which was included, was great. It started at 7:00... More

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and even though the twin room was the smallest ive ever seen , would go back for certain because the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was cereals, fruit and continental.and delicious!! Would recommend it and im sure that some of the other rooms are... More

service- This hotel is owned by a family which take a lot of pride in their work. The staff were simply amazing. From the moment we arrived (jet lagged) they took care of everything we needed. We were greeted with a warm smile and served a hot beverage (free of charge). The staff were very helpful in offering advice about... More

Older, clean hotel with great customer service. Rooms are small, basic (no phone). The WiFi is free and reasonable speed. As many have mentioned there is no lift and the stairs are steep and tight, perhaps not a good idea for anyone who has difficulty climbing. We had a room in the back, so we did not notice the street... More

There are a few things that could be a problem for some people : a) there is no lift, which may be bad for elderly or handicapped guests. b) although it is easily accessible by tram, it is a little far from the city center's tourist sights. c) the mattress seemed extremely squishy, but some people may be into that.... From the warm welcome to the friendly goodbye, the Alp Hotel is perfect. Clean, warm, welcoming and with lovely touches such as tea coffee juices and fruit available all day and night, an apple and a chocolate on your pillow and a welcome drink, the hotel is one of the cutest I have stayed in. Lovely fresh breakfast with good... More

The Alp Hotel at Amsterdam does not meet minimum standards. Not very comfortable and far too expensive for what they have to offer. Front rooms are too noisy to get a decent sleep, leaking bathtub flooded bathroom every time we had a shower. They wouldn't change our room because apparently it was fully booked, though it didn't seem all that... More
