Stayed at this hotel in January 2012 as a Christmas present from my boyfriend. Our first impressions of the hotel were that it certainly stood out being a massive blue building. Checking in was fine and the receptionists were very helpful. Our room was on the bottom floor but we never heard any noise from outside. Our room was spacious...

On my recent trip to amsterdam my friend and I booked this hotel last minute because it was around $65 a night! Private bathroom with two twin beds that were amazingly comfortable!!! Very quiet neighborhood but not near anything! At least a 20 min tram ride to the Van Gogh museum or Dam Square, which are major areas of Amsterdam...

Nice room.
Far from the center of the city but close to tram/bus stops.
Perfect for me, I just arrive at hotel, sleep and go out for sightseeing, day after day

This hotel has passed it's best days but is kept clean. The location is a bit outside the city center but within easy access by bys or tram. Staff is ok but not overly friendly. Breakfast buffet is ok but not really worth the price. Better take the tram to central Amsterdam and head for a cosy cafe instead. Overall...

She then sent us to the...

I stayed 2 nights here on a business trip. The hotel is not the most impressive from the outside, but inside is OK.Check-in was quick and I received a very warm welcome from the receptionists.
Bedroom:
The bed was extremely comfortable, heating/airco quiet and easy to control, large shower head, Free wi-fi worked well. Could do with a better light...

To start, there are a lot of little things/irritations that I am going to let go and not even bother really commenting on or this would turn into a blog. We stayed here for the weekend of April 20th-22nd 2012 to go see Amsterdam and Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. We chose this hotel due to the reviews...unsure why they are rated...

Clean large well furnished rooms. It was a pleasant hotel and even though it was a distant from the city centre it was quiet. We had the tour bus to take us to the city so it wasn't a drama being away from the city centre. I noticed public transport was nearly at the door anyway. I would stay there...
