Martini Hotel is a reasonably good alternative when going to Groningen. The people at the reception are nice and the nearby restaurant is quite OK. The rooms are small and my room needs refurbishing. But compared with the price and the fact that we got accomodation within our limited budget ....well then this was a good alternative!

Situated superbly on 5 minutes walking distance of every hotspot in this village-like city. The hotel hotel welcomes you with a large and cosy 'gelagkamer', being bar, reading room and breakfast area. The opposite restaurant is likewise spacey and very courteous, giving it style and a little grandeur. Rooms are adequate and beds fine. Parking just around corner.

For around 100 euro's, for two nights (this was a special deal, two persons) we got an easy and friendly check-in, a welcome drink, a clean but small room, comfortable beds, a very functional shower-and-toilet cubicle, enough towels and a small flatscreen. An oke place to stay for a reasonable price. Free wifi was included! For a decent breakfast (optional,... More

Stayed in this hotel in January 2012, rooms are quite small but the restaurant area is quite good and spacious. I had an issue with card key for the doors and have change it 3 times during my few days stay. Big disappointment was lack of wi- fi in the rooms but only in the restaurant/reception area, in this time... More

The hotel itself was a bit tricky to find by car because of the one way system and various routes were barred but local shopkeepers were very helpful. The reception desk staff were efficient, intelligent and very helpful and the bar staff very courteous. There's a car park at the back of the hotel, the room was good as was... More

This hotel is the perfect example of how to provide everything a traveler needs at a reasonable price. The room was small, but very clean with a comfortable bed. While the bathroom was tiny, it had a strong, hot shower and clean towels. I asked for a room off the main street that runs in front of the hotel and... More

I stayed here for a few days in Groningen, which is a delightful city by the way. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the station and is well placed for bars and restaurants. I booked it as a budget stay and was pleasantly surprised by the foyer, restaurant and bar area which seem to belong to a much... More
