Stayed here on business on two separate occasions -- two years apart (07 and 08). First class hotel, first class accomodations. Center of town and walking distance to the old city bars and restaurants. Lovely rooms with all amenities. First class reception and service. Look forward to my next trip.... more

The Savoy is right off Bahnstrasse in an excellent area of Zurich. Zurich is an expensive city, safe, clean but not very tourist friendly. The Savoy had both good and bad staff, with the bad, very bad. Restaurant, Bar and some desk staff were hostile and arrogant. Breakfast at the hotel costs more than a 4 star meal in Paris.... more

Granted, the hotel is very clean to the point of being scary-sterile but that just might be Zurich thing. The rooms are tiny and the decor is bordering on Spartan. When was the last time you stayed in a top business hotel that pushed the beds to the wall to claw back some space?For this price there must be better... more

I have stayed at the Savoy for business twice ... and can safely say i will never do so again. It is very expensive, with tiny rooms and more expensive services. I could give several examples, each small in themselves, but for example; I wanted a taxi to the airport - there is a taxi rank literally across the street... more
