This hotel was perfect for our group tour to Zurich. Cheap and clean with smiling staff. They had a deal of paying for 2 nights and stay for 3 that made the price very pleasant. The rooms against the street is a little noisy but the location made up for it. 5 min from the railwaystation and the restaurants and... More

With a perfect location near the central train station and in the old part of town, the Hotel Marta was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Although a little like a university residence room with its fairly spartan fittings, the room was much better looked after! A great location for the few hours we had to wander... More

We booked Hotel Marta as it was close to the railway station and we were taking an early morning train on to Milan. It is clean, comfortable, modern unfussy decor with pleasant efficient staff. Our room had a view of the river and city. It is very centrally placed so in the short time we had there we were able... More

It's very close to the train station -- and this is something I always look for. You have just to go down a street to be in the pedestrian area of the old town. Room was pretty small (one had to jump over the other to get out of the bed!), bathroom was good, breakfast was good enough to us.... More

Excellent location, with 5 minutes walk from main railway station and city's main shopping street. Surrounded by nice old town buildings and lots of bars and restaurants. Extremely clean and recently completely refurbished. Good breakfast, definitely more than you would expect from a formally one-star hotel. Finally, this is a value for money option, taking into account average accommodation prices... More

Super location, five minute walk from main train station and in great area for restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff, large lobby, good breakfast. Rooms are comfortable...a gem of a hotel for the price! More

This is by no means a budget hotel. First of all this isn't a rant about the place.. it really isn't a budget hotel, even though many searches on the net comes up with this place, probably because its a three star hotel. I paid 155 CHF or about 125 Euros for a double bed economy room. I guess 125... More

A minimalist hotel, has some good points ---- it's close to the main station, convenient for the old town and above all extremely clean. The flip side of this is that it is Very expensive and uncomfortable, it's impossible to relax in the room, try sitting on a hard wood stool for any length of time, and as for the... More

We chose the hotel for it's conveniency and reasonable pricing. As it was our first day touching down in Switzerland and after more than 10 hours of flight, we were glad that the hotel was centrally located. There was nothing fancy or special about the hotel or rooms. Basically it provides a decent and clean room with breakfast. There are... More

I stayed in October 2010 at this hotel and really liked it. I had a room facing the Zahringerstrasse and it was very nice. I therefore booked again this year in Septembe 2011 but instead was given a room facing the other side (Seilergraben) and it was so noisy I could not sleep despite the triple glazing of the windows:...
