Americans, first time to Montreux and family traveling w 9 including teens. One night at Villa. Very acceptable accomodations. Larger rooms than most of Europe, high ceilings, largest baths on entire trip. Didn't find noise a problem , and all 3 rooms faced the road. But don't let the association with the "5 star" (in reality a 3 1/2 star!)... more

Rooms are ok although oldfashioned, bathromms are really old. VERY VERY NOISY romm due to the road, intensive trafic from 5.a.m. Impossibles to close the blinds so light is passing by the windows. This is not at all a place to rest. more

The booking web site promised a four star experience, in reality this hotel is closer to a 2 star standard. This hotel, an annex of the Royal Plaza hotel and separated by a busy main road, appears to be a converted villa. It seems pot luck what room you are allocated since they are not standard. I went to this hotel recently with my mother for a three night stay and we had a truly fantastic time. My husband and I, along with another couple stayed at this hotel on June 29 to July 1st. It’s about a 10 minute brisk walk (including a steep hill) from the train station to the hotel. Depending upon the nature and quantity of your luggage, this can range from a pleasant walk to a tiresome addition to a long journey.... more

The Villa Toscane hotel is located on the main road into Montreux beside the lake it is just beyond the main features of Montreux and for guests arriving from the train station it is a 5-10 minute walk. Unfortunately the hotel does not have any of it's own services and therefore everything from checking in to dining takes place opposite... more

Stayed for one night on June 10th. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the train station. You do need to check in at the hotel across the street, which didn't inconvenience us any. It's a nice classical hotel with friendly staff. It's a short walk from the centre and the walk along the lake has very pretty views! We went when there's the Christmas market - it was lovely! more
