Room was clean and utilitarian. Zero charm. Staff was helpful and courteous. Restaurant (like everything else) in Stans is extremely costly! Our friends say that most hotels in Switzerland follow the same trend (spartan and utilitarian) because people will pay to stay in such a beautiful place. The market may allow for this now...
