The room was small, clean, simple but our view was awesome, we did have a balcony which would have been great on a summers day but we had one warm sunny day so enjoyed coffee out there anyhow. My complaint with the hotel was that it was noisy, the walls were very thin so I could hear children crying, coughing... more

We loved our stay. We spent 2 nights in the family part of the hotel, which was above a shop next to the hotel. The interior was exposed baltic type pine and very spacious. I felt I was in a cosy log cabin. The main room overlooked the street and consisted of a table and chairs for 4, a big... more

another fabulous stay. Clean and spotless as always. The proprietors are so friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. Breakfast is continental and enormous. right in the middle of town close to all amenities. the view of the Eiger from the south facing rooms is outstanding. you get free entry to the local swimming pool and sports centre... more

I did not get the opportunity to stay at this hotel. Our flight was delayed and we drove through a storm getting into town late. The hotel was closed and we pressed a light up button we assumed was the door bell. No one answered so we booked into another hotel exhausted with jet lag after being up 24 hours... more

For the price, I can't really complain about this hotel. Was a long time since I stayed somewhere where I had to use communal bathroom. Room was very small but that said it was clean and comfortable with friendly staff and a decent enough (continental) breakfast which was included in the 50 francs pppn. If you are in this area... more

We stayed there 22-24th August. Getting to the hotel from the train station was easy about a 5 min walk with luggages. Service was great and our luggages were brought to our rooms while we were exploring town waiting to check in at 2pm We got a nice airy room on the 2nd Floor South Facing with great views of... more

i stayed for 3 nights in Tschuggen as part of my 2 week trek through Switzerland. it's a family run place, simple and clean, with lots of wood furniture and paneling in the rooms. located on the main street in Grindelwald, it's a short walk (5min) to the train station and Firstbahn. i had a single room (probably one of... more

Although the room decor was a bit outdated, this is a great little hotel. It had kind of a ski lodge feel, very cozy. The hoteliers were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Nice, central location on the main road in Grindelwald. We stayed in a room without a bathroom, but the rooms across the hall with bathrooms... more
