Alphorn is very conveniently located - next door to the ski lifts and a ski school. And the hotel has a ski rental shop attached. We had small kids who we wanted to initiate into skiing so it was very simple - everything was in one place. This saved us a lot of time. We had a brilliant view of... More

We were there for Summer with our 2 kids, my parents and my wife. Though Gstaad is like a ghost-town in summer, we had great walks in the country side, great views of the Alps and we found (after searching for other options in Gstaad) that the restaurant in the hotel was super! The waitresses there were really pleasant and... More

We had booked through the hotel direct for a room for three, which was to have a fold-up bed, but on arrival we were allocated a double and a single next door to each other - this was perfect and much better than we had expected. The rooms themselves were lovely - spotlessly clean and with plenty of space. Both... More

Hotel standards in Switzerland are high in general. This one is no exception. We went for a week ski holiday and this hotel offered a very good package deal with ski pass. It is at the piste so literally you can walk 20 steps to the ski lift after breakfast. Clean, nice chalet, good restaurant, friendly helpful staff. Bed was... More

Great family-owned hotel in gorgeous Gstaad. I stayed in both summer and in the fall, during the off-season for skiing. Great area for hiking, walking, or day trips to wonderful places like Montreux and Gruyeres. Rooms are lovely in a Swiss style with natural pine decor, beautiful views of the mountains, great breakfast, nice restaurant, wonderful staff. Good wi-fi access,... More

This is a very small hotel on the ski slope of Wispiel. This is a family friendly ski slope and is comparable to American green, blue and black. My husband is an expert skier and enjoys going to some of the other hills in the area like Wassengrat. I learned to ski as an adult and enjoy American green and... More

We rented a lovely two bedroom apartment at the top of the hotel for a good rate. We had a small kitchen and comfortable living room with a balcony. A satisfying breakfast is served each morning and the restaurant served good food all day. There is a small apres ski bar (stuebli) as well. We went with a large group... More
