I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. I saw a bedbug the first night of my stay and even though I switched hotel I managed to bring them back home with me where we are now trying to deal with the problem (not easy!). more

Room carpet is very dirty and you need to always wear your own slipper. Walls are without paint or wallpaper. My husband stayed at the Hotel Moderne in a trip to Geneva a while ago. I suppose my standards must be lower than others who have reivewed it, because I didn't have any real problems with this hotel. The only reason to stay in this hotel is to save a few Francs... don't expect much else, like clean linens. The hotel is located 3 mins walk from the bus/train station which also makes it extremely convenient. It is also walking distance to the old town, lake and the red right district. the location is the only thing going for this hotel. i do not know how this hotel received a 3 star rating. It is all very badly insulated, therefore extremely noisy.
