Make sure you have the address of this hotel as most taxi drivers in Basel haven't heard of it. The hotel is only small (14 rooms) which are all on the 4th floor (reception being on the ground floor). The room was large and spotless, the bathroom equally large with a great walk in shower. Coffee machine and complimentary drinks in the fridge. A wonderful comfortable bed.

Just a couple of downsides

No food is available in the hotel apart from breakfast and the local area isn't exactly the mecca of the food world - there is a McDonalds next door but that's not for me. The hotel recommended the Japanese restaurant next door but having noted just 2 customers I decided to buy sandwiches from the train station over the road.

The 20 inch TV is on a shelf six feet high next to the wardrobe, pointing away from the bed. Not only do you have to squeeze into the small chairs to watch it you need binoculars as well. With 75 channels I only managed to find 3 English ones... more
