Villa Rosa is a perfect dream! From the heavenly setting in the glorious countryside just out of Perugia to the classical spacious thoughtfully planned accommodation in the Umbrian style.the physical setting is only beaten by the openhearted warmth, helpfulness and kindness of Megan and Lino. To wake up to a vista of such sparkling beauty is a memory that can... More

It is wonderful to read the reviews of Villa Rosa and to see that Megan and Lino are still working their magic. I should have written this review immediately after we stayed there in 2004! Time and many more trips to Italy and France have passed but I would love to add my endorsement of this beautiful property. Others have... More

My husband and I went to Villa Rosa in May 2012. We arrived grey, stressed out and exhausted. Having not had a holiday for 8 years, there was a lot riding on Villa Rosa! We needn't have worried. The accommodation is charming, the pool is lovely and very clean (they use a non-chlorinated system) and the views are superb. The... More

Wow, where do I start? My family and I stayed at Villa Rosa for a week in July; there were 6 of us: myself, wife, daughter (age 8), son (age 5) and my parents. The location was perfect and La Casetta, the little cottage separate from the main house, was perfect for our needs. I can't say enough great things... More

Lino is exceptionally hard working and has, on top of everything else, opened a superb restaurant in the borgo of Montemelino. Open all day. It's called il Melino. The food is traditional country cooking with a twist. Until Trip Advisor list the restaurant...they are so slow....I hope a review here will tempt people to try it out. Inexpensive and superb... We have returned several times; brought family and recommened to friends who booked and couldn't say enough! The rooms are clean and bright; kitchens fully equipped; hosts Megan, Isabella and Lino and THE BEST EVER! You should have a car, but I understand there is a taxi service. Great central location: 15 minutes to the MiniMetro to Perugia centro; 40... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Villa Rosa in September. We booked the smaller apartment, but when we arrived, we were upgraded to the larger apartment, Il Gelsomino! I had mentioned to Megan over e-mail that we would be arriving on our anniversary, so the upgrade, and prosecco in the fridge, were a special treat! Megan and... More

Wow, what a great place to stay and relax, and fantastic hosts too. i could not recommend this place more highly, and so close to many lovely things in and around Perugia. All accommodation has its own private area and the poolside is a great place also to sit and read a book. Very quite and peaceful.

We rented a self-catering apartment here for one week in June. It was spotless. The kitchen has a 6 burner gourmet stove with a separate oven off to the side. There's enough pots/pans/dishes/glassware to have friends in for a dinner party! There's also a dishwasher. One can choose to eat-in or on the covered patio on warm evenings. There's a... More

Just stayed a week in the smallest apartment (1 double, 1 single). Just a great place. Nicely equipped kitchen. Good sized bedroom (with all three beds), pleasant place to eat outdoors, beautiful swimming pool area where we had wine each night. Hosts are great and Megan is Australian so her English is perfect. You are out in the country at... More
