Stayed 3-6 Oct. 2011. A good base for star trip. 1 problem we experienced: The inside walls are so thin that you can hear everything and it is very disturb if you want to sleep. Breakfast was very good (we asked for an omelet-there was no eggs on the table). The building is very nice and the view is fantastic.... More

Nearby to the city of Peace, Assisi, there is a fabulous piece of heaven awaiting you. Castello di Petrata is that quiet, peaceful and heavenly retreat. Exquisite setting, stunning grounds, fabulous food, uncompromising service, amazing sunset, everything you could possibly want in an Umbrian retreat. The rooms are beautiful, impeccable clean and very comfortable beds. WE enjoyed a typical Umbrian... More

This was my second visit to il Castello di Petrata, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to it by a dear friend who got married there. I enjoyed my time so much that I knew that I would return time and time again. On my second visit, I introduced four of my girlfriends - we go away every year... More

This is a beautiful country hotel. If you are doing a road trip between Rome and Florence this is a lovely break for a night or two in wonderful suuroundings.. A cool-off between the cities. I think it is far better than a stay in Assisi Some reviewers have said the food is too expensive. I don't agree. The starters... More

After a warm welcome we entered our junior suite with a view on Assisi. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed for four days and enjoyed the surroundings, also the food in the restaurant was good (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The friendly staff completed the picture. If you are planning for a stay in Assisi pick... More

Our stay was perfect. The services provided were gentle and always with a smile and patience for our poor Italian. The food was great for both breakfast and dinner. The room was large and well decorated. There was even a view form the bathroom! I will reccomend to all my friends on the way to Italy. Giovanny, at the front... More

We stayed in Italy for 2 weeks and this was by far the best place we stayed... If you are looking for a true Italian experience this is it! Up on a mountain with outstanding views and peace and quiet.. After going to the big cities to sight see this was a welcomed relief. Family owned and operated. More
