The view of this hotel is absolutley stunning! Fairly close to everything. Great food! And everyone who worked there was very nice. But the view was again amazing. The city is also beautiful and the only bad part was the breakfast did not have the bet variety

The hotel is located at the entrance of the old town, walking distance from the Basilica, with a nice view on the valley. My room was pretty small, but clean. Breakfast and dinner where of decent but not remarkable quality, still proportionate to the price. Service is acceptable, but a bit disorganized, especially if dealing with a large group, like... The Windsor offered a fair price for clean rooms, great views and a nice bar. This is a good stop with one draw back, it is located at the very front gate of the village and therefore you will be walking up hill as you begin your trip into Assisi, however when it's time to return!!

Anything that has a history & character I pretty much love. No, this wasn't a glamorous, modern hotel but the location was perfect. Easy walking throughout the town. Rooms were decent size with high ceilings. Our view was stunning. The vacuum hose blowdryer threw me off a bit but hey, we're in Italy- get over it! Yes, it could use... More

View from room was beautiful. Very warm, but we were told air conditioning is not turned on until summer. Food was good. Down side: outside window in shower stall- sloppy remodel job. Would not stay here again.

Like another reviewer, we stayed here with Globus tours. We thought this hotel was charming. Our room was a corner and opened up to the most spectacular views. Its an old hotel in an old city in Europe. Beds will be small and uncomfortable and it is nothing like we expect in America, but this hotel is something we still... More

I'm not sure how this place gets any good reviews. The only positive thing I can say about it is the location. The bed isn't a bed, it's a cot - a double wide cot. Think pull out sofa bed. Terrible. The breakfast was so sad looking - a few stale pastries and some week old lunch meat - we... More

We stayed here with a Globus tour in October. The hotel looked beautiful when you pulled up. The elevator is small, no cocktail lounge, and the food well I don't want to discuss the food. But you are in Europe and this is part of its charm (not the food there was nothing charming about the food). The bed was... More
