I started my 4 day stay at this hotel by having one of the best breakfast meals i ever had, the food was all homemade and from close sources, not only this but it was made and delivered in rapid speed. i also spent my afternoon in the spar, the prices may seem steep but then they are quickly massaged... I stayed at the Hotel Giotto whilst with a Cosmos tour of Umbria. I stayed for 5 nights and my room had a fabulous view of the valleys below the town. The sunsets were unbelievable. Assisi is a must see in the area. It's a hill-top town that has charm and history. Of course, the main attractions are those associated... More

I stayed here as part of a tour group, and this hotel regularly handles groups. My room was modern, clean and comfortable. I had a small balcony looking out over the valley and a neighboring church whose morning bells only added to the ambience. The hotel is centrally located, making for short (if hilly) walks to most sites in Assisi.... More

This hotel has some good and bad aspects. Buyer beware. The food, breakfast and dinner, was some of the best food we ate in Italy. The breakfast selection was fresh, homemade in part, and amazing in an amazing setting downstairs. Mmmm. Dinner was also wonderful there. Really great location. The view from our room was absolutely fantastic of the tuscan... More

The hotel rooms are in need of a makeover. But the staff are very helpful. The views are outstanding and the location fantastic. More

We had a room with a view over the valley, it was wonderful. Okay the room's decoration was a bit old, but it was spacious and comfortable and had a huge bathroom with (unusual in a hotel!) plenty of room to spread out the things one needs to spread out. Good location for exploring the town on foot. Recepetion staff... More

The hotel is pretty old, and needs a revamp not only regarding the lobby but also the apartments. The rooms are old, the triple room is actually a double room with a double bed + a single bed - practically all together as one huge bed, since there's absolutely no space in the room at all. Not to mention the... More

Hotel Giotto just hosted our staff and guests at a 4 day event in Assisi. They couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming and accommodating. They also catered for our event in a nearby palazzo and the food was excellent. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay in Assisi thanks to the Giotto and the location so near to the Basilica was... As our long-standing Hotel in Assisi, Italy was under new mismanagement, it turned out to be very good news for us as the Hotel Giotto is now our home away from home when we visit Umbria. The rooms - with terrace and updated bath - are comfortable and right-sized...and with the magical views that define Assisi. Their staff - Ariana,... More
