Hotel Il Palazzo is a boutique hotel, just a dozen rooms or so. It has been created in part of a very old Palazzo and the restoration work has revealed structural elements of the old building, but created comfortable and intimate spaces for the 21st century traveller. Its authenticity and very convenient location roughly between the Duomo and the main... More

Assis is a wonderful home to the catheral of Saint Francis, the town, a mountain community, is closed to car traffic, however it is a must to stay in the city and enjoy all the marvelous sites. We chose Hotel Il Palazzo located a short walk from the Catheral. This is a small botique hotel with great management comfortable rooms... More

From the friendly welcome to the reluctant goodbye this was a wonderful experience. Located on the main route between San Francesco's basilica and the main town square, this hotel is ideally situated for anywhere you might wish to go in Assisi. During the day this means that front-facing rooms get the noise of the crowds passing by, but at night,... More

The location is excellent, almost mid town. Yo con walk everywhere, go to St Francis and back in 5 minutes. a family owned hotel that klives on premises makes it very cosy. Good breakfast (continental +) . Ask for the rooms on the 3 rd floor and you will have an excelllent valley view day and night.

We stayed at Hotel Il Palazzo, Assisi for two night during our honeymoon and would both happily recommend it to anyone who is looking at Assisi (incidentally, Assisi itself is definitely well worth a visit.) The hotel is well placed, halfway between the Basilica di Francesco and the Piazza Santa Chiara where most of the action is. We also found... More

We were very satisfied with this hotel. The rates were reasonable for the location. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but offered a varied selection of food items. Repairs were being made to the water system while we stayed there but management went out of their way to avoid any inconvenience to the guests.

Our room was very attractive, comfortable and with a terrific view. Location is ideal, right in the historical center. The owners could not be nicer or more helpful. They gave us great suggestions for restaurants and little villages to visit which made our stay very special. Highly recommend. great value. Assisi is a lovely town.

As a short-notice stay, we were pleasantly surprised at our luck in finding such a gem of a hotel. Well run, and with attentiveness to the weary traveller, it made for a wonderful overnighting stop. Like most otels in Assisi, it does not allow for parking of your own vehicle, however, there is a simple solution in that you can... More

This is the second time I have stayed at this wonderful hotel right in the heart of Assisi. The rooms are spacious and this time I have a sweeping view of the Umbrian countryside. The service is friendly and helpful and the ambiance very relaxing. There is a reverse cycle air con in each room which is great as we... More

From the outside it really looks like a castle. Good reception, but the room was disappointing. Small and not so comfortable. By booking through booking.com one gets a room on the first floor in so called standard quality, very noisy with a shower, possibly made fot children. The personell was friendly, but later I found out that my credit card... More
