This converted farmhouse is authentic, charming, well furnished and provided the best breakfast spread we saw in Tuscany. Fresh fruits and jams, Tuscan breads and cheeses, cereals, homemade cookies, cakes, yoghurt, pastry, ham&cheeses all there with my favorite stewed prunes and super strong Italian coffee. The inkeeper Gianni is very friendly, hospitable and genuine and printed out some schedules for... More

Although we only stayed one night this was a great place and Gianni was very welcoming. We literally had our pick of the rooms! The farm house is perfect and really makes you feel you are staying in the Tuscan countryside, although you are only a stones throw from the town of Sienna - walking distance! For breakfast we were... More

We stayed here for five nights, while touring throughout Tuscany, and loved every minute of it. The house is ideally located for those traveling by car, outside Siena's walls (and driving restrictions) but withing easy reach. The meaning of "Podere" is approximately "old farm house", and it is indeed very sturdily built, with thick interior walls that provide excellent insulation... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while touring Tuscany and had a wonderful experience. I can’t say enough positive things about our host, Gianni. He was so warm and welcoming from the minute we arrived, and really went out of his way to make sure our stay was extra special. He has so much knowledge on Tuscany and in particular... More

My wife and I have stayed twice at Podere il Pero and loved it both times. Our most recent stay was for the Palio in August and several years before that we spent a few weeks in the ground-floor apartment using it as a base to explore Tuscany. Gianni and his parents are the nicest hoteliers we've ever come across.... More

We stayed with some friends here for 1 night when we traveled in Tuscany recently. We were delighted with Podere Il Pero's proximity to Siena, and while it was a bit tricky to find, it was worth it. Gianni was extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and charming and the property was well-kept. The breakfast buffet was... More

First of, you'll need a car to get to here. Then again, it's Toscana - you should be in a car. Gianni, the host is a warm and nice guy. A native to the area, he is rightly proud of Siena & Toscana. He did provide us with good advice on where to go & what to do. Rooms are... More

This is a great place to stay in Siena - it is out of the way and in an nice rural setting but only a 15 minute walk to the escalators that take you close to city centre - the walk itself is pretty amazing. Gianni and his parents are very friendly and always helpful - they feel like family... More

We recently spent 3 nights at Podere Il Pero on a 3 week trip to Italy. The B&B is charming and spotless with a great breakfast including home made baking and jams. The location is perfect as It is a 15 minute walk up the hill to old town Siena, and there is a bus that runs if the hill... More

During our eight day stay we had a fantastic time! Gianni (speaks good English) and his parents (very limited English) were our gracious hosts. Every morning the breakfast was delicious and plentiful with fresh fruits, cheese, pastries, cereal, eggs, etc. The very pleasant setting with a very nice outside area (covered, lighted, and bug zapper) was very convenient for couples...
