This place has it all. Well appointed rooms in an updated ancient stone villa, with a really nice pool with a view so pretty, you want to paint it (I did!). Half an hour north of Lucca, on the outskirts of the "wild" Garfagnana area in northwest Tuscany, it sits high on a hill. You can take beautiful walks down... More

We reserved for one night and ended up staying three. The location is a beautifully renovated farmhouse/villa in the Tuscan hills close to the beautiful town of Lucca. It is done with impeccable italian taste and really idyllic. Lovely walks and countryside. Difficult to find (forget GPS!). The room was nice size and comfortable and bathroom had a bath and... More

We visited Lucca looking for wedding venues and Villa Daniela (inc villa La Volpe) was one of the many locations. We were greeted by Daniela herself (an extremely gracious hostess). Who provided us with a lovely unexpected lunch and an extensive tour of the properties. We were very impressed with Daniela's high standards in cleanliness, quality and period restoration. I... More

Villa Volpe is not a hotel, and not even a villa. Instead, I would describe it as a country farmhouse - complete with a small olive grove and vineyard. It has 9 bedrooms and 9 baths, 2 kitchens, a common room with a computer with high speed internet access and a printer. The villa's owner, Daniella, could not be nicer.... More

Just back from spending a week at Villa Volpe for my birthday. There were 13 of us, and we rented the entire villa. This is a fabulous place. I had some concerns after looking at some photos of the villa on the internet before making the trip, but Villa Volpe is gorgeous. The pictures do not come close to doing... More

I was really between a 3 and a 4 on this property. It was fine, but nothing great. After reading the reviews, my expectations were pretty high. They were only partially met. More

I've been to Europe, especially Italy many times, but I got to say that this was one of the best villa's I've ever stayed in. The location was peaceful, proximity to wineries was excellent. The owner very friendly. The villa was beautiful with a great pool. Very relaxing and close to Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the Beautiful surrounding wineries. We... More

I stayed here with a large group. it was wonderful! Not all the bedrooms were the same size but all were tastefully decorated and comfortable. Our room shared a bath with another bedroom. I believe some rooms had their own bath, but it seemed that mostly there was a bathroom to share between two rooms. The location is quite peaceful.... More

This is not a hotel but a lovely villa tucked away in the low hills near Lucca in a town called Segromigno in Monte. The villa sleeps up to 16 or the house can be divided into 2 house sleeping 8. Almost all the rooms have a private bath(in one of the casa, called Michele there is a suite of... More
