Stayed here on a whim, and were delighted at how beautiful the hotel and pool area and staff were. Lucca is also a wonderful pedestrian historical centre. So much parkland!! We walked around and around the city walled bike/walk ways, and visited the beautiful gardens of Palazzo Pfanner.

My daughter, sister in law & I spent 2 nights at Villa Chelli during a 2 week European trip. It was our favorite hotel and we wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was on the second floor over looking the front of the villa. Our room had plenty of space for the 3 of us with beautiful views....

Spent 7 nights here and found it a good base for sight seeing Tuscany and, in particular, nearby Lucca and Pisa. There is no safe opportunity for a walk from the hotel as it is situated well back from but on a busy road. It was very informal (more like an agroturismo farmhouse) with a very friendly dog on front...

My husband and I stayed at Villa Cheli for one night when visiting Lucca and Pisa, after staying in San Gimignano for a few days beforehand. We arrived late afternoon and unfortunately it had been raining the whole day, so we were not able to use the lovely looking swimming pool, which seems to have been a highlight for others...

This is a nice villa, not really renovated like others said, but more left in its original condition (the villa dates in its last version from the 19th century). Of course bathrooms have been renovated, but no less than 10-15 years ago. Anyway the location is beautiful, as well as the marvelous swimming pool. However we were given a room...

I spent two nights here with my boyfriend during “Lucca Comics and Games” festival.
The hotel is a renovated country house on the road from Lucca to Pisa (just 10 mins from Lucca). The room was spacious and quiet, the bed was comfy. Fornitures were good and the bathroom was ok, even if the airdryer was not working (but I...

We stayed in one of the apartments. Decor was reasonable, shower was good, aircon worked well (it was 40C outside!). Bed was very comfortable.
The pool is lovely - the restaurant good. Breakfast is not so brilliant, but was okay.
Staff are friendly, and the Villa itself is located at the top of a fabulous long drive.
WiFi is not...

This was our third stay at Villa Cheli. Set in a rural location at the end of a long driveway off the Lucca to Pisa road, this country house hotel has been modernised very tastefully and by now the swimming pool at the rear.will have been completed. Rooms are spacious, large windows with shutters helping to keep the bedroom cool....

The hotel was OK and good value but nothing exciting. The insulation isn't great so you can hear everything around you and if it's a bit chilly you'll be cold at night. The building is nice and the staff very friendly and helpful however the breakfast is uninspiring.
Conclusion: Good place but lack the wow factor.
