Hotel San Marco is near the train station, an is in the heart of the tourist places as Duomo, Accademia, etc. Andre, the owner, and the staff are a very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, internet worked very fast all the time. Breakfast included in the rate is complete and healthy. More

This was probably the best hotel on our trip. The location was just awesome! 5 mins. walk to Duomo, 2 mins to the Accademia, 10-15 mins. from the train station. Rooms were clean, staff was nice (although the older gentleman doesn't speak much English). AC and WiFi worked well. We had a great room on the top floor (ask for... More

We really loved our stay at San Marco's: the brother and sister, who run the hotel, are really wonderfull people, giving us brilliant inside information, even booking tables at restaurants for us and giving wonderfull advice at any given time. The rooms were simple and clean, the breakfast equally simple, yet perfect, and the hotel provided exactly what we were... More

The hotel is on the 3rd floor but there is a small lift to get heavier bags upstairs. The stairwell doesn't make the best impression but we liked the hotel overall. The location is excellent, right in the centre of the main sights. We had a double room with en suite. The room was clean and had air con at... More

We booked six nights at another hotel, but since they didn't have room for us they sent us to Hotel San Marco. The location of the hotel is perfect - its in the middle of everything. This is a family business, the owners are always on site to resolve all the problems - unlike in other places where nobody cares.... More

We stayed here for one night so that we could spend a couple of days in Florence, but as we already had accomodation in Rome, we couldn't afford to spend much. This hotel was ideal. It was quite central, only 5 minutes walk from the Duomo cathedral. The room was exremely basic, so don't expect luxury, but it was clean... More

We stayed here and a double room cost 55 Euros, which seemed reasonable. When we got there, from the outside, it looked like the seediest hotel I have seen. We went inside and found the reception on the third level. The rooms are quite old, beds are lumpy. We are budget travellers, so are not concerned too much by appearance.... More

Went there with my family for an overnight stay and this hotel was by far the worst experience I have ever had up to now. Rooms are terribly dirty, shower is not practicable as it is above the sink. Broken windows are glued together with adhesive tape, electric cables hanging out and plugs are broken (very advisable if you travel... More

I was on a road trip through Europe in May 2009. Of the many hotels I stayed in, this one stands out because of how disgusting it was. Everything about this hotel is filthy and disgusting as you can see from the photos. I had to use my own bed linen, wouldn't eat anything that was not packaged and was... More
