The Castello was great. Very laid back, no pretense. The rooms were spacious. Dining space and utensils to prepare your own meals, but why would you when great food is walking distance in both directions. The grounds are well kept and varied with many quiet places to sit with great views. The staff and grounds keeper where always helpful. Valencia... More

As some reviewers have stated, this is a different experience than staying at a hotel. We were there in early April and the temp was around 60 as a high each day so we did pay extra 14 euros a day if we wanted heat. Also there is a 50 euro cleaning fee. No maid service throughout the week which... More

Six of us stayed at the Villa Osbert. We drove from Venice & had no trouble finding it, BUT we did have a GPS, which is necessary in my opinion to get there & around the area. The villa was clean & supplied with the basics for self catering - but no condiments. There are two small villages nearby with... More

Castello di Montegufoni is in a beautiful setting and day trips all over Tuscany are easy. The nearest small towns are very delightful. The Castello has a staff very eager to be helpful. We were there in cold weather and our room was very, very cold but they tried to respond, eventually giving us a space heater; unlike many places... More

We traveled for (10) days around Italy and were so looking forward to our one night in the castle until our journey to locate it turned into a total nightmare!! While they supplied directions from Florence we were traveling from Sienna (last min change of plans) and after spending over three hours stopping and asking directions from anyone who spoke... More

Our travel agent recommended the castle and it sounded great with all the reviews etc. We had 2 children ages 7 & 8 and we stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments in the castle itself..not the separate accommodation at the base of the property. The greetings and service was great and very appreciative. The room well..view stunning off... More

Our party of 4 stayed at the estate for 7 days. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in one of the dwellings separate from the main castle. The ideal location would be inside the castle, AWAY from the road noise, however, as I am a heavy sleeper the traffic didn't bother me. FYI--furnishings were dated and the beds were extremely... We absolutely loved our stay at the Castello di Montegufoni. The property was truly an amazing castle. After reading a few of the reviews on TripAdvisor, we were somewhat skeptical, but listened to those that said it was amazing and we are so glad we did! We had an incredible stay. We weren't really expecting a lot for our accommodations... More
