The location was superb, the room was large, quiet and comfortable and the tower was wonderful (sparing us the need to climb the Duomo). Stayed at Hotel Torre Guelfa for three nights in early October 2011. Staff friendly. Good breakfast. Spacious room. Bathroom fine, but a bit cramped. Just about everything is within a 15-minute walk, with many sites only 5 minutes. Very close to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio.
