This was the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at! Rooms were so moldy it gave me a respiratory attack! Bed had lice on it big enough to photograph! Hotel is easy to find, and only about 5-10 mins walk from the main bus station. It is easy to walk around Florence and see all the wonderful sights from the hotel. Well located in the centre of Florence and provided a basic level of accommodation and a free breakfast that was nothing special, but provided fuel for the day ahead. Good sized rooms but don't even think about bring a car to this place.

In the confirmation send to my mail it was stated free parking but we had to pay 46 euro. Please check and give us an explanation to that.

Terrible room, wall to wall carpet, horrible yellow curtains .. That I never took off my sandals in the room probably says it all. The absolute worst breakfast of 11 days in Italy. Florence was fantastic, hotel rex was awful!

We booked three nights and stayed only one. A little grubby, the staff were rude and unhelpful. Internet was not reliable. We checked out after one night and went across the street to another hotel. It is a great area to stay in and they are plenty of other decent choices in the neighborhood.
