We found the rooms very nice, fresh and new with all amenities working very well. We had no noise at all in the room and a nice view over some rooftops. The bathroom really spacious. We ended up having breakfast outside though as we wanted something small but authentic and good quality and Florence is fullof such places. The staff...

I visited the hotel during their renovation works at the facade but this did not influence at all my staying. The hotel is well located approx. 15 minutes walk from Piazza della Signora, the heart of Florence. Front rooms enjoy the view on the river Arno and the scenery of Piazza Michelangelo and San Miniato. Also for business travelers the...

The location of this hotel is great: overlooking the river and within walking distance of the centre of the city, but the food is not so great. What horrified me most of all was the plastic beakers used to serve juice in for breakfast - and the coffee was horrible. I was there for four nights for a conference, and...

I'm not sure if we benefited from a hotel price war in Florence, but Hotel Mediterraneo was great. The hotel is located just blocks away from the major sites. We stayed in a family room on the top floor for less than Euros 100. The room was divided with sliding doors, making it perfect for traveling with 2 small children....

Traveled with a group and stayed at Grand Mediterraneo for one (1) night. Though the hotel was nice (accommodation, services, etc) on Christmas Eve it was arranged for our group to have a dinner-buffet separately from the other guests.
Upon arrival in the restaurant (family of four) we were seated in a table and we placed an order for wine...

We stayed at the Hotel Grand Mediterraneo during September 2011. The day before we departed, a member of the cleaning staff damaged my cell phone. I reported the incident to the Front Desk Manager, who advised that I must contact hotel manager Andrea Bianchi, who was out of town.
Upon return to the United States, I contacted Mr. Bianchi through...
