Chose this hotel because of friends’ suggestions and reviews on various guides. No particular appeal from the outside, but, this really turned out to be a very special small hotel. Very much like being in a distinguished private home of the past. Wonderful staff and excellent service. Good location. My room was so quiet I could hardly believe I was... More

Charming converted monastary with frescos on the walls in some rooms. Great staff: helpful, responsive. Easy walk to major sights in city center. More

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our three days here. We paid extra for a room with its own terrace and this was definitely money well spent. The room was light and airy with two sets of patio doors. The bed was comfortable and we slept well with no unwanted noise from outside or within. The staff were... More

This hotel was a little off the beaten track for us. When we arrived by taxi the front door was opened and we walked into a foyer similar to walking into an apartment complex. There were 20 plus stairs to climb to the Murandi door where you had to ring the bell to enter. The people running the hotel are... More

A very reasonably priced small hotel located on a quiet side street within walking distance of the Duomo. The lovely continental breakfast in the pretty dining alcove is worth the surchage. Seek out Roberto who is a font of knowledge about the ins and outs of Florence sightseeing. More

I spent four nights at this quiet, well-situated hotel and would book it again in an instant. The price/value was excellent and I felt comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. The staff spoke excellent English and offered local tips on things to see and do. I loved the access to the Doumo – when you're close to that you're... More

My sister and I stayed here based on a review in Froder's travel book. It was a darling hotel with an extremely accomodating staff. The rooms were very nice and cold! In August, Italy sun is extremely hot and it was very refreshing to sleep in a cool room. The breakfast served was excellent. To American standards, the location may... More

Stayed here for two nights in July 2011. Small, unusual hotel in central location. A converted convent, we stayed in room 29 which still had some of the frescoes from the original chapel on the wall. Bathrooms a little on the small side and the shower wasn't great, but it is an old building. Paid 125e a night for a... More

This hotel has obviously seen better days. Our room was old and gross. You had to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the lobby and ring the doorbell. They should meet you at the real door and help you with your baggage. The Breakfast was mediocre. The people at the front desk were nice, but I wouldn't... More

A group of 9 friends went to Italy. We all couldn't have been more happy with the hotel. We had 4 double rooms and 1 single. The hotel is an old convent, so every room was different and on 3 different levels All the rooms are furnished differently, and all very unique. Some rooms have courtyards, etc. All the desk... More
