We had a paid in full reservation for over 4 months, arrived late at night to find this hotel, Bristol Park Hotel, entirely dark, gates all chained and locked up! We had 2 nights paid and had no notification of this...most hotels around there were booked, finally found one that had a room for us at much higher rate than... More

Seems a risk with the mixed reviews, I can't imagine why both my partner and myself have high expectations oh what we want in a hotel and Bristol Park is a fine choice, very clean friendly. It feels like an exclusive hotel but very warm and friendly too. By far the best location in Taormina. Exit the hotel turn left... More

I stayed here in October for a week. My room was very nice, particularly the bathroom (see photograph). The hotel had stunning views of Taormina and Mount Etna (see photographs). The hotel stafff who we met were very friendly and helpful. Taormina itself is expensive but so are all the countries with the euro. More

Visited in July and feel I must write about this hotel. I had always wanted to visit Taormina but this hotel made it not the dream I had envisaged. Whoever said the settees werent worn could not have sat on them. When we sat in the lounge for our visit by the Thomson rep the springs from the settee nearly... More

When I realized that Thomson were not including this hotel in their next year's portfolio, probably due to negative reviews, I booked a week as I thought it looked interesting. Although we paid a little bit more to be upgraded to sea view rooms, we were given a superior room at no extra charge. The superior room was definitely superior... More

Well we read the reviews and we went in with our eyes wide open. We liked the grandeur of days gone by, we would have loved to stay there in it's heyday but the years of neglect have taken there toll. The staff were very helpful and polite but we didn't meet the manager/owner who is supposed to be difficult.... More

This place is a time warp. I could go on for hours as per the other travellers but won't. It is a garage sale disguised as a hotel. Remember that the star rating isn't related to style or decor or service, but rather amenities. Yes there is a pool, and mini bar, and parking, and blah blah blah but it... More

Despite reading negative reviews, I was swayed by the hotel photos. Big mistake! I go to Taormina once or twice a year and find it one of the most beautiful town I have visited, especially in February/March when Etna is covered in snow and the town is very quiet. This time I decided to try a different hotel. Problems =... More

The view from the balcony is absolutely devine! You overlook the bay down below, mount Etna in the distance and you can also see the rooftops of Taormina. Make sure you get a sea view facing room with balcony. We had wine from our balcony every night and it is a view you will never tire of. The hotel is... More

We have stayed in many hotels in different countries and what impressed us most about this hotel was how unusual it was. It is truly a beautiful place. Yes, it is not as grand as it used to be but after staying in many beige 'samey' establishments, this was a breath of fresh air. The decor is fabulous and the... More
