The Grand Hotel has a fabulous position on the water on Ortigia Island, which is, in my opinion, the only area to stay in Siracusa. Ortigia is the old town, so you walk on cobbled streets full of atmosphere with ancient churches, old buildings and charming cafes / restaurants.
