Highly recommend staying in this beautiful B&B, it has been restored to perfection. Everything is so tastefully done and after spending a day or two in the chaotic city of Palermo, its like a little piece of heaven and tranquility. The room we had was the Giardino room, over looking the garden and it was stunning, everywhere so clean and... More

Locals might get puzzled knowing where you stay, Ballaro` was know to be a rough neighborhood however, this is no longer true! We felt very safe, people are extremely kind and helpful, a lot of building have been renovated, the place is clean and the street market is the best in town, you will experience the real life in Palermo... I highly recommend B/B Giardino Di Balaro for not only the hospitality and friendliness shown but also the comfortable accommodationand location being situated near many places of interest such as The Cathedral of Palermo, Casa Professa(Church of saint Mary of Gesu),the famous theatre(Massimo) around 20 minutes walk, the Royal Palace, the Balaro market of Arab origin back in history.

Great and classy place in a an interesting neighbourhood, we met very helpful people (as Alitalia lost our luggage) and everything for a reasonnable price. Also, we had a great breakfast in the morning. We'll come back.

This is a really nice hotel in a converted building but with a modern feel nonetheless. Showers are great, room was big and spacious and the location was good. The staff were always very helpful even printing off rail timetables. Also only a short walk and bus trip to the beach. I would definitely recommend this place.

I asked my hotel manager at another Palermo hotel to cancel my reservation at Il Giardino and he did so as I stood there and listened to the conversation. The person at Il Giardino took the cancellation but they are now denying that I cancelled it and are charging me the full 85 euros. This cancellation was done one week... More

My wife and I were delighted with Il Giardino -it was a perfect, elegant base for sightseeing in Palermo, an easy walk or short bus trip from most of the major attractions. Do not be put off by the street view; the interior is as modern and creative adaptation of an ancient building as imaginable. All the staff people we... More

This hotel is situated in one of the most run down areas of Palermo and we were taken aback when the taxi dropped us off several blocks away as he couldn't get through. After hauling our luggage while eyeing the delapidated buildings we were somewhat discouraged. Imagine our surprise when we finally found our hotel, a little gem tucked away... More

My husband, baby, Mother-in-Law and I stayed here recently for 3 nights and had a lovely visit. The B&B is gorgeous, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable & we found the location fabulous. I'm a personal chef with a passion for Italian cuisine, so being near the Ballaro market was perfect for me! We had easy... More

In spite of the difficulty we had in finding it, and our initial impression of the area, we were finally very happy with this hotel. This former bakery has been transformed, using a really nice mixture of new and old. Within easy access of the Norman Palace and the amazing Ballaro market, the hotel is also a short walk to... More
