The good thing about this hotel is the staff, they are friendly and helpful. Not very good in english though, but as the work quick and provide you with what you need it's forgivable. The roof top pool is not suitable for children and beware of the fact that a baby bed costs an additional 10 euros per day. The...

Pro: Modern hotel with amenities in good condition, big room, good breakfast, great view to the bay and port from the room, free parking.
Con: poor surrounding, too far from city center, non-comfortable pillow, bad bus connection

I was really keen to find a hotel with a pool as a break from sightseeing in Palermo. The San Paolo Palace has a great rooftop pool and everything else you could want from a modern hotel including 24 hour reception, on-site cash machine, multilingual staff and extensive buffet breakfast. We stayed in two different rooms and both rooms were...

I stayed in three different hotels during my Italy trip, and this was by far the best value among them. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom looked new and well-maintained. The lobby was large, open, and comfortable, and the folks at the front desk were courteous and willing to help. The complimentary breakfast was varied and tasty.

The hotel is on the sea front a mile from the railway station on the road east out of town and is a little out of the town centre. The hotel is seemingly very new as they still are in the process of developing the conference centre. The rooms themselves were very spacious and the breakfast was enjoyable. The outdoor...

We spent four nights at San Paolo. This hotel provided a welcome respite from the chaotic city centre of Palermo. Our 11th floor room had a view of the sea, and the view from the rooftop swimming pool is spectacular, with the sea in front and the mountains behind.
Our room was spacious, with a security safe and a well-stocked...

If you have a chance to avoid this place - do so!
We paid € 110 per night, found a hotel in shabby 80ies style, with a literally rotten bath mat in the room and extremely unhelpful staff at the reception desk (they are unable/unwilling to explain something on the map, ask questions like "What is your problem" when guests...

As the descriptions say - its a business hotel - not personal or intimate.
The rooftop pool is nice with good views and the bar/restaurant are good, but not spectacular.
The location is poor. Its about a 20-25 min walk from the centre of Palermo, but it is not a pleasant walk. Again it seems to cater for the business...

Nice hotel with nice rooms, nice lobby, beautiful top floor restaurant with good food. However, the surroundings are not nice, The hotel has a navette (mini-bus) that takes you to downtown Palermo every hour (except Sundays and holidays). This is good because taxis in Palermo are not cheap, The hotel has DSL internet at the lobby.
Palermo is not a...
