The location is excellent, close to the heart of the old city, and within easy walking distance of everything else. The railway station is about 15 minutes walk away, but along very narrow pavements that are difficult to negotiate with a suitcase. Stayed there with 4 others friends. All had the same experience with the rudest incompetent staff (short dark hair woman) and Romeo at the desk. These guys are so incompetent, don't give the most simple info about buses, restaurants, try to keep your passports that are pilling up on the desk thus easy to grab, hang up the phone, misinformed... more

I traveled with my 88 year old mother and two sisters. We enjoyed the excellent service and accommodations. The rooms have double windows/doors so you can shut out the city noise. The hotel is very beautiful. The classic suite is nice, but old. the bartender Roberto is a very personable guy,quite a history buff, very good resturant recomendations.
