We stayed in apartment 17 which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, It looks out over the street and can be traffic noisy. It is more than 150 square metres and has good kitchen facilities W e were given milk and other things for the first breakfast snack The owner is polite charming and helpful and speaks many languages including... We stayed here for 3 nights as the 5th, 6th and 7th day of our Treasures of Italy tour with Esplora. The other reviews say it all - this place is amazing! On our first full day we did the 'cooking with te Duchess'. We started by preparing the anti pasta and te dessert as they ended to set. Then... More

We stayed there with friends for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment. Our apartment 10 was eclectic and comfortable. Nicoletta was a wonderful hostess and her cooking class with a visit to the market, lunch and a tour of the palace is not to be missed.

Perfect location, spacious flat, grand palace with very interesting literary and historical connection, very comfortable, all you need for self-catering, and above all very gratious and welcoming hosts.

I had a lovely stay here over a long weekend in January.I was initially drawn to the place as I had read "The Leopard" ("Il Gattopardo") when I was in high school, and couldn't resist staying where Giuseppe Tomaso di Lampedusa had lived while writing the book. Nicoletta, the owner/hostess was very responsive over emails, arranged a cab pickup at... More

Staying here was the highlight of out trip to Sicily. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, and it is an easy five minute walk to the centre of the city. The best part, however, was the tour of the palazzo hosted by Nicoletta, the owner, who talked about her family's connection to Tomasi Di Lampedusa, who wrote The Leopard.... More

We stayed for one night in October on our honeymoon. Nicoletta was gracious and so very helpful! She gave us a map and many helpful hints. She even set up a taxi ride to the airport for the next day. We enjoyed our stay and also the restaurant she suggested for dinner. We would love to go back for a... More

What an experience! For 100 Euros a night, pocket change for lodgings in Italy, we got, not a room, but an apartment (!) bigger than our house (!!) in a palace(!!!) that Giuseppe Tomaso di Lampedusa lived in when he wrote one of the greatest novels of the 20th century, "The Leopard." (I don't have enough !'s for this. Trust... More
