We based ourselves here for a night at the beginning of our trip around Sicily. The room was decorated in traditional Sicilian style, which we really enjoyed. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was one of the best we experienced in Sicily and the staff recommended and booked some fantastic restaurants for us.

Stayed here for 3 nights in November 2011; staff were extremely friendly and helpful (booked us an Etna tour within minutes, great recommendations, not at all pushy) and decor of hotel is in keeping with traditional Sicilian style. Standard spread at breakfast. Although our room was on the ground floor it was a lovely calm retreat in a bustling city;...

Stayed for 2 nights. Our room (301) was very nice. The lobby is a comfortable space and the staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The hotel is not on a great looking street, but it was quiet and safe and a relatively short walk to most of the major attractions and restaurants. It was fun to wander about the fish...

'Liberty' means 'art deco' as translated in Catania. This small, business-travellers' hotel is beautiful restored with both original and beautifully-wrought reproductions of the art deco period. Service was excellent. The location is difficult to find without GPS, but is within convenient walking distance of local sights and shopping. We were well looked after by the attentive and helpful staff. Breakfast...

Loved the Art Deco atmosphere and attention to detail. The lovely Francesco and Francesca were engaging and always ready to help. Both gave good tips about what to see and where to eat. Make sure you have arancini at Savia - yummo!! Would highly recommend.

Chosen because it is among the closest hotels to Catania's chaotic airport, it proved to be satisfactory for a brief stay-clean well-appointed, and adjacent to the colorful street charcoal grilling butchers of that section of Catania. They offer all kinds of grilled meats-especially horsemeat. If you can ignore the shabby surroundings and mountains of trash along the streets, the smell...

Two of us stayed at the Liberty for five nights in October. Finding the Hotel with the sat-nav was straightforward despite the ‘different’ way in which Sicilians seem to want to drive and park. Just don’t expect cars or pedestrians to give way. Cars drive fast but pedestrians cross the road frequently without looking and very slowly. And there are...

Just returned from a 5 day stay in Catania. We were there to attend the fencing World Championship and traveled with several friends to cheer on our US fencers so we booked 4 rooms for our group. The hotel could not have been more lovely - we had 2 "junior" suites and two double rooms - all different ranging from...

The most wonderful thing about this Hotel is the very attentive and helpful staff. They truly go out of their way to help with everything and no request seems too small for them to give you their complete attention. As we were planing our stay from Canada all emails with requests for information were answered very promptly and good information...
